We’re pleased to announce the release of Urgent v42. The release date for Urgent v42 is 16 March 2025.
Here’s summary of the new features or feature updates included in this release.
New Asset Data Fields on Task Summary
Additional asset data is now available on the task/ work order summary. This enhances the search function and speeds up reporting. The following fields are now available:
- Asset Tag Number
- Parent Asset Tag Number
- Manufacturer
- Model
These fields will be available to select via column configuration.

Task Creation: Mandatory Document Upload Option
On task/work order creation, document uploads can be made mandatory.
Making a document upload mandatory, for example attaching a photograph of the asset requiring attention, speeds up the time to repair by removing the need to request further details. It can also improve the accuracy of reporting and audit trails.
This feature is settings-based. Please contact your system administrator to request access.

Updating Financial Fields after Invoice Approval
Financial fields can now be updated or edited from a task/ work order, irrespective of the status of the invoice. This gives greater control to correct fields such as the GL code, after the invoice has been approved.
Users with the correct permissions can now perform the following edits when an invoice is in approved status:
- In task/ work order: GL code, chargeability, financial code (WBS), or accrual value can be edited. A supporting warning message will appear.

- In invoice: supplier reference, invoice date, and purchase order number fields can be edited.

This feature is permission-based. Please contact your system administrator to request access.
Recurring Task Generation to Use Site Time Zone
When generating a recurring task, Urgent now uses the time zone of the site, not the default tenant time zone.
This update means that the recurring task functionality now serves customers who need tasks to be generated at midnight and have sites across multiple time zones.
This feature is automatically available to all.
